ParticipantI’m sorry, I looked at the answer key wrong. I didn’t understand how that answer could be よりbut it’s not the answer at all of course. It makes sense now. I made you explain it too much, sorry.

ParticipantIt’s not that many steps compared to the long incline up the mountain. It’s hard to tell the real size from the picture, it’s maybe only a little bigger than the Kamakura Buddha over all, but it’s only the head and shoulders. The one in Sendai in much bigger, but I haven’t gotten there.

Participantかっこいい!I never shared my photos of the the Ōfuna Kannon:

You can see it from the train going to the Kamakura Buddha, it’s high in the hills.

It’s a steep climb through a bamboo forest. The climb is probably why it’s not more popular.

It’s very impressive to walk up to.

There’s also a shrine inside the statue. It’s all very beautiful.

ParticipantThey have them in local supermarkets usually after Valentine’s Day and they are sold out by St. Patrick’s Day, there’s a limited amount. They are extremely sweet and probably not good to eat all the time. One box is enough for the season.
