11月の行事には色々ありますが、ワイン好きな人にとっては毎年11月の第3週木曜日に解禁されるボジョレーヌーヴォーが楽しみの一つでしょう。
私はワインは飲まないのでよくわかりませんが、この時期になるとスーパーや酒屋さんの店内は解禁日に合わせた飾りつけがされて、たくさんのチラシや予約票を見ます。
There are a lot of events in November. One famous event for wine lovers is “Beaujolais Nouveau.” Beaujolais nouveau is released once a year on the third Thursday in November in Japan.I don’t drink wine, so I don’t know much about Beaujolais nouveau. However, I see flyers, reservation sheets, and wine-related decorations at liquor stores around that day.

ワイン好きな人たちが集まって、「今年のボジョレーヌーヴォーは○○だ」などと言いながらボジョレーヌーヴォーを飲む会なども毎年開かれています。
It’s common to hold parties to drink Beaujolais nouveau together and critique the year’s Beaujolais.

新型コロナウイルス感染症のために、去年はほとんどのイベントがキャンセルになりましたが、今年は規模を縮小していくつかのイベントが行われているようです。富山県では、11月17日（水）～11月19日（金）までの間、「ワイン電車」というイベントが行われたそうです。感染対策を行って万葉線と呼ばれる路面電車に乗って、景色を見ながらワインを飲むというイベントだったようです。
Due to the pandemic, Beaujolais nouveau related events were mostly canceled, but some small events were held this year. In Toyama, an event called “Wine Train” was held from November 17th through 19th. People got in a streetcar-style train called the Man’yo Line (taking proper COVID precautions) and drank Beaujolais nouveau while enjoying the scenery.

普段の生活ではマスクをしているのでなかなか人の顔を見ることはありませんが、このように感染症対策をしっかりしながら、マスクを外してイベントに参加できる機会がもっと増えてくるといいですね。
We usually wear masks, so we have not been able to see others’ faces recently. It’s nice to be able to hold an event like this again, seeing each others’ faces and having meals with strangers.
