    I D, →よく勉強している( ようだ )だけど is wrong.
    II C, → Wrong. It was close though. たしかに means 長野さん is 100% certain about the information.
    III B, →Wrong. 田中さん is trying to remember that 山田さん is about 30 years old.
    IV C →Correct!

    I：C→ よく勉強している( ような )だけど is still wrongですよー。
    
    ～ようだ＝it seems that…/It looks like…
    (conjugation)
    (Noun) 学生だ→学生のようだ
    (な-adj) きれいだ→きれいなようだ
    (い-adj) きたない→きたないようだ
    (verb) 掃除する→掃除するようだ
    
    Ⅱ：A→ Wrong (たしかに is 100% certain, but たしか is around 80-90%)
    Ⅲ：D→ Wrong
    
    II and III should be the same answer; たしか.
    たしか means “if I remember correctly/if I’m not mistaken.”

    It’s not だけど. It’s ようだけど. Maybe the question was not good 😛
    
    The percentage of たしかに and たしか aren’t in the book. That part is my original explanation for you. The difference is subtle, but it’s good to know.

    It’s good information. The way the particles can change the meaning is hard to pick up sometimes.

    You are correct except for VI. 食べたくない has almost the same implication as 好きじゃない, so they don’t go well together. It’s kind of saying the same thing twice.

  If VI is A, doesn’t it change the answer to the second part? It would be A&D then.

    食べられないわけではないけど、好きではない means, it’s not that I cannot eat, but I don’t like it (so I prefer not to eat it).
    食べたくないわけではないけど、好きではない means, it’s not that I don’t wanna eat, but I don’t like it (so I prefer not to eat it).
    The first one is implying that you don’t want to eat (but can eat if I must). The second one says, I don’t wanna eat and don’t like it. There is no reason to use a double negative sentence of you say the same thing twice and it doesn’t imply anything new.
    Double negatives are very tricky grammar but you will get it if you keep practicing it🙂

    Oh, I thought he could be saying he doesn’t like the decision to go to the restaurant because he doesn’t want to eat sushi. I was forgetting the grammar point.

    Double negatives are always confusing in any language. We can keep practicing and you will get used to it🙂
