I finally got time to edit the photo size. I took this photo last month. This beautiful place is near my house. I really like this location. Very pretty.

yeah lucky you! I went to a local festivals the other day. This is one of my favorite festival in Fukui. The mikoshi is carrying the god of paper (this region is famous for Japanese paper; washi). This is a fight between Iwamoto shrine people and Okamoto shrine people. the Iwamoto shrine people want to keep the god, and the Okamoto shrine people want to carry the god out to their shrine. I like the atmosphere.

Nice, I will have to see some festivals next time, I’ve only been to them in America. I like how they tend to pine trees in Japan, I will have to go through my tree pictures.
The gundam is going to be replaced next year with one of the newer types, even bigger. Probably worth seeing still, but I only really know the 80s gundam and other old shows like Macross. I went into the Gundam museum/store inside the mall and I felt like I did not know anything about it at all.

You don’t like going to onsen? I don’t like the public baths, so I usually use the private onsen bath. Most onsen have cute bathing rooms for private use only. There is a time limit and charge, but it’s worth it 🙂 It’s like 45 minutes for 2000 yen-ish.
If you wanted to say that onsen aren’t in my top 5 destinations, you can say, “温泉は私が行きたい場所トップ５に入っていません”

Katsuyama is famous for dinosaur museum. There are many temples, museums, and farms. It’s a calm, quiet, and historic place.

まだ９月ですが、オクトーバーフェストが石川県で行われました。
日本でオクトーバーフェストのイベントに行くのははじめてでした。
思っていたより楽しかったです。Although it’s still September, an Octoberfest was held in Ishikawa prefecture.
It was my first time to go to an Octoberfest event in Japan.
It was more fun than I expected. -

A graveyard on a mountain. Fall is a nice season to climb on a mountain 🙂

Nice, there’s not many mountains here. I have some pics of a graveyard in Meguro I will have to look for. You know you can click on the picture icon to insert images instead of using the attachment.

Seabrookの仏堂は桜の祭も起きました。あのPhila-Nipponicaの本に書きました。私の家から３０分南に行った、でも前に本を読むのが知りませんでした。後ろで小さい公園があります。楽しかったです。

かっこいい！I never shared my photos of the the Ōfuna Kannon:
You can see it from the train going to the Kamakura Buddha, it’s high in the hills.
It’s a steep climb through a bamboo forest. The climb is probably why it’s not more popular.
It’s very impressive to walk up to.
There’s also a shrine inside the statue. It’s all very beautiful.

It’s not that many steps compared to the long incline up the mountain. It’s hard to tell the real size from the picture, it’s maybe only a little bigger than the Kamakura Buddha over all, but it’s only the head and shoulders. The one in Sendai in much bigger, but I haven’t gotten there.
