Compare to the US it’s not very big, but it’s getting bigger every year. Christmas was not a thing in Japan like 50 years ago, but it’s a big winter event now. Maybe one day Halloween will betoo.

Is 1 A? I thought 県 included all the types of places. Can you just put them together like that? Don’t see it as a dictionary word.

There are 47 prefectures in Japan, but people don’t say, ４７県. ４７都道府県(とどうふけん) is correct.3 must be C because the trains will be less crowded? I don’t really understand B.

The article says, the working population increased in only 3 prefectures. A lot of prefectures lost population because younger people moved to big cities like Tokyo. (This part is the answer for 4.) Hint: Prefectures are not only called 県. For example, 大阪 and 京都 are 府 (ふ). 東京 is 都 (と), and 北海道 is 道. Others use 県. In the sentence, there are 東京, 神奈川, and 沖縄.2:A
