9月と言ってもまだまだ暑いですね。9月は台風も多いですし、お天気が悪い日もありますが、だんだんと日が沈む時間も早くなって、夜が涼しくなる日もあります。「秋になってきたな」と感じられるようになってきますね。

涼しい日が増えると、金木犀の花が咲くようになります。金木犀は独特な香りのある花が咲く木です。秋に花が咲くので、秋に外を歩いているといろんなところから金木犀の香りがします。
As the number of cool days increases, the flowers of the kinmokusei (sweet osmanthus) start to bloom. Kinmokusei are trees with unique smelling flowers. They bloom in the fall, so when you walk outside during the fall you can smell their fragrance in various places.

雑貨屋さんなどでは、金木犀の香りのするグッズを売り出したり、金木犀の線香が売られたりします。金木犀は花も小さくてかわいいですから見ていても楽しいですね。
Stores sell kinmokusei scented goods and kinmokusei incense. Kinmokusei flowers are small and cute, so they are fun to look at too.
