ParticipantHe’s just one of these guys that’s very good at learning a lot of languages, he’s not really trying to teach Japanese. It would be more upsetting if he was really saying that only French people can learn Japanese right but it’s just a joke. People just making jokes hate to explain them.

ParticipantNice, I will have to see some festivals next time, I’ve only been to them in America. I like how they tend to pine trees in Japan, I will have to go through my tree pictures.
The gundam is going to be replaced next year with one of the newer types, even bigger. Probably worth seeing still, but I only really know the 80s gundam and other old shows like Macross. I went into the Gundam museum/store inside the mall and I felt like I did not know anything about it at all.

ParticipantNow that I think about it, if his example of a French guy isn’t making any mistakes, that’s a little offensive. I thought he was also making fun of himself.
Jim
ParticipantYeah, it’s a french guy. I thought it was interesting, it’s a little too goofy to be offensive to me. (My family’s Italian.) I’m assuming the grammar mistakes are intentional to make jokes but maybe he was a little too clever. I couldn’t find a translation even tho it’s popular, I think people are just liking the performance.
Jim
ParticipantThey just took it down tho, glad I got to see it.
